Celebrate Earth Month!

Princeton students, faculty and staff have planned earth-friendly events and activities throughout April in honor of Earth Month. Use #PUEarthMonth2018 on social media when attending these events!

Princeton Student Climate Initiative Frist Tabling

April 4 and 5, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Princeton Student Climate Initiative is hosting a tabling in Frist about the the proposed natural gas compressor station sited 5 miles northeast of Princeton, its environmental risks, and what you can do. They will help run you through the process of registering as an intervenor and submit public comments to FERC that will help ensure the NJ DEP performs an adequate environmental assessment of this project.

Mend Mondays

April 9 and April 23, 7:00 pm. - 10:00 p.m.

GreenSpace at the Frist Campus Center

Mend's Mission is to encourage sustainable attitudes and reduce waste surrounding clothing and fashion through teaching Princeton University community members how to repair, reuse and upcycle clothing, and providing the materials to do so.

They will have knowledgeable staff, needles and thread, and a sewing machine available to help you with all your needs.

Conversations on Civic Values

April 11, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Conversations on Civic Values events invite faculty, staff, student leaders, and community partners to discuss exactly what it means to be "civically engaged" as a university student within a democratic society. This CCV event will focus on environmentalism and sustainability as they relate to and intersect with service and civic engagement.

Carbon Footprint Workshop

Curious about your carbon footprint? In this workshop, we'll share common misconceptions and effective lifestyle changes, using video examples. Then, we'll calculate our own carbon footprints and discuss the changes that we ourselves can make to decrease our emissions! Tiger Chef Challenge

Student teams from the residential colleges will compete as they prepare, cook and present their best dishes to a panel of judges. The Challenge will also feature a food expo with complimentary food and beverage tasting.
